Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for a companys financial procedures records and statements for compliance with laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Support month-end and year-end close process for a multi-entity organization including intercompany transactions and journal entry preparation
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Sales tax monthly and quarterly filings
- Preparation and analysis of various reports i.e. sales and product margin reports
- Assist with preparation of annual budget
- Analysis and reporting of variances to budget and to prior year
- Variety of special projects in support of division management
- Assist with maintenance and review of inventory costing and values
- Assist in annual external audit as well as other compliance reporting
Requirements
Requirements
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Flexibility and ability to handle multiple and changing priorities
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written
Education and Experience
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Degree in Accounting
- Experience using ERP system such as Visual
- Experience in manufacturing and cost accounting a plus.
