Job Summary

Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: New York NY 10011
Duration: Contract
Pay Rate: $3106.50 per week
Schedule: 3 Days per Week 12 Hours per Day (36 Hours per Week)

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to operate and manage MRI equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient safety and comfort following established imaging protocols and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MRI imaging procedures according to established protocols
Position patients and coils to optimize imaging quality
Educate patients on procedures and provide clear instructions
Review patient safety questionnaires prior to scans
Ensure images are accurately labeled and uploaded to PACS
Evaluate image quality for diagnostic accuracy
Maintain and update patient records in IDX (Radiology Information System)
Keep MRI room and equipment clean and organized
Maintain supplies and necessary accessories
Assist physicians during imaging procedures as needed
Follow MRI safety standards including ferromagnetic precautions
Adhere to infection control policies

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
ARRT (MRI) certification required
Strong knowledge of MRI physics and cross-sectional anatomy
Excellent technical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

NY State License in Diagnostic Radiology
Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification
