Job Summary
The incumbent under the management of the Senior Product Manager Corporate Markets will serve as a Day-to-day operational manager of the research development maintenance support and delivery of the platform for the IEEE DiscoveryPoint services (IDP) IDPC and addition the incumbent will be the Subject Matter Expert for content selection curation and creation for IDPC.
The role is central in development and execution of IDP content and platform development plans including maintaining and enhancing content throughout the products generation and sharing of customer and end-user recommendations and insight support of IDP platform roadmap development and delivery support of Sales CSM Product Launch and Engagement and Customer Operations functions to content and platform queries and day to day activities that support IDPC and IDPS and ensure they deliver results that meet customer requirements and drive new IEEE revenue.
The incumbent will be working individually and with stakeholders (including the Corporate Product Manager and the IDPS Product Content Creation and Curation Consultant) to scope specify and deliver new or updated content and platform functionality components assessment and selection of target third-party licensed and IEEE content for inclusion and supporting other product initiatives as decided. The position works closely with the Corporate Product Managers as well as customers the Product Launch and Engagement team Sales CSM Customer Operations external platform vendor and other teams in the IDPs support and as determined the scoping of new IDPx products in the portfolio.


Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible to work with stakeholders to assess maintain and manage IDP quality and positioning.
  • Support decision-making and execution around IDPCs continued content development based on the individuals subject matter knowledge end-user research and insight and knowledge management experience and expertise
  • Work with the Corporate Product Manager and Senior Product Manager evaluation and assessment of IDP platform functionalities and support in development and launch of enhanced versions of the platform
  • Work with the IDPS Product Content Creation and Curation Consultant for IDPS Information gap assessment and identifying potential content improvements for the products
  • Creates and maintains development of IDPC product Dashboards
  • Manages and maintains selection and record creation of third-party eLearning resources News and Blog sources for inclusion in IDPC
  • Identification and delivery of IDPC Content Updates
  • Maintenance of IDPC Thesaurus and related search enhancements
  • Maintenance and delivery of end-user-ready briefing materials which describe the scope of IEEE and other resources included or linked from IDPC and IDPS
  • Sales and related customer/trialist support other editorial and product support and enhancement for IDP as requested
  • Work with the Corporate Product Manager requirements creation evaluation and testing of proposed new and changed IDP platform functionalities
  • Identification and analysis of IDP platform and content specifications working with the IDP platform vendor
  • Maintaining relationships with IEEE colleagues volunteers and partners to coordinate and support the process of evaluating new business ideas and integrate IDP customer needs into this process
  • With direction from the Senior Product Manager and others keeping track of IDP competitive intelligence including emerging competitive news from society/commercial publishers and information aggregators
  • Working with the Product Launch and Engagement team and others to define create refine expand and promote value propositions for the IDP products driving growth and revenue for the business. Resources can include slide decks video scripts or other materials that cover use-cases content functionality or features.
