Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Fiber Optic Cable Assembler to join our production team. The primary responsibilities include terminating fiber optic connections preparing fiber for assembly and building cable assemblies according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong manual dexterity the ability to read technical documentation and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Terminate fiber optic connections according to established procedures and quality standards
- Strip fiber to required lengths with precision and care
- Polish fiber optic termini to meet performance specifications
- Crimp fiber optic termini and connectors using appropriate tools and equipment
- Assemble fiber optic cables and cable connectors per assembly drawings and work instructions
- Read and interpret assembly drawings schematics and specifications
- Review and follow bills of materials from work orders
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in fiber optic assembly or cable manufacturing preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Experience using hand tools crimp tools polishing equipment and precision measuring devices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Work in a fast-paced environment
Schedule: 8:00am 5:00pm
Pay: $16hr
