Job Summary

Position: Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery (L&D)

Specialty: Labor and Delivery
Shift: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (19:00 07:30)
Contract Duration: 22 Weeks
Desired Location: Saratoga Springs New York

Scheduling & Work Requirements

  • Candidate should be available to work through the summer

  • Floating: May be required within skillset

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active New York State RN License (required)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required

  • Fetal Monitoring certification (within the last 2 years) required

Clinical Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience required

  • Prior travel experience required

  • Strong Labor & Delivery experience required

Required Skills Include:

  • Circulating Cesarean Sections (C-sections)

  • Labor support and delivery care

  • Immediate newborn care and stabilization

Nursery Responsibilities

  • Must be comfortable caring for newborns on a regular basis (potentially every shift)

  • Ability to:

    • Assist with delivery and initial stabilization of newborns

    • Provide continued care in the nursery until transport (if required)

  • Experience required in immediate newborn care and stabilization (not ongoing critical neonatal care)
