Duration: 14 Weeks
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital Med/Surg Unit
Shift: Night Shift 12.5 hours/day 3 days/week (34.537.5 hours/week)
Shift Timing: 7:30 PM 8:00 AM
Compensation:
Travel Rate: $2406.50/week (negotiable based on experience)
Local Rate: $2001.00/week (negotiable based on experience)
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. The RN will manage pre- and post-surgical patients applying strong clinical judgment attention to detail and effective collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with healthcare professionals
Provide direct bedside care to pre- and post-operative patients
Administer and document medications accurately
Perform wound care infection control and dressing changes
Insert catheters and initiate IV therapy
Monitor and interpret vital signs and telemetry data
Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment
Identify and report changes in patient condition
Educate patients and families on procedures and post-surgical care
Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Follow established nursing standards protocols and best practices
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in acute care or post-acute settings
Recent experience within the past year required
Strong skills in physical assessment IV therapy and post-operative care
Experience with wound care infection control and patient education
Telemetry monitoring experience preferred
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
Active RN License (state-specific)
AHA BLS certification required
AHA ACLS certification preferred
EPIC EMR experience preferred
