| Job Description: | Perform on-site construction inspections to ensure compliance with adopted codes approved plans and specifications Perform in-depth safety plan reviews for all new construction and renovation projects for facilities associated with UF Prepare written reports approving or rejecting construction plans in accordance with the adopted codes Approve installation of materials and methods for compliance with adopted codes 10% - Record inspection results and plan review comments in permit tracking software 05% - Operate UF/state vehicle(s) to and from inspection sites Make decisions as to code interpretations in area of expertise Represent the department in area of expertise to various groups such as architects and/or engineers contractors or subcontractors Licensed in two or more disciplines as a building plumbing mechanical fire safety or electrical inspector Licensed as a building plumbing mechanical fire or electrical plans reviewer by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Post-offer health assessment required Valid Florida driver license required NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:

| Preferred: | EDUCATION & TRAINING: Bachelors degree in building construction EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years construction experience in each field of experience for which certified inspector and plan reviewer. Preference will be given to applicants with licensure as a Fire Safety Inspector and Fire Safety Plan Reviewer. KNOWLEDGE
