We are looking for:
DentistryRegistered Veterinary Technician
Never a dull moment! Every day is different andtheresnever the same case twice!
Whatyoulldo:
- Perform prophylactic dental cleanings and periodontal disease treatments
- Surgical assisting of standard and advanced dentistry soft tissue and orthopedic procedures
- Record and deliver organized rounds discusscasesand gatheradditionalinformation as necessary
- Acquireand present dental and standard radiographs
- Calculate and administer anesthetic medications
- Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessment
- Partner with patient care teamregardingtreatment plans clientcommunicationand nursing care concerns
- Provide client education including but not limitedto:home care instructions medications (indications adverse reactions)and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients
- Assist DVM with patient assessmenttreatmentand procedures
- Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing
Who you are:
- State Registered Veterinary Technician license
- Prior veterinary experiencepreviousemergency experience desired
- Proficient in calculations (drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
