What Youll Be Doing
In this role youll help shape and strengthen our Motor Underwriting capability ensuring our products remain competitive compliant and customerfocused.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and responding to technical underwriting referrals
- Reviewing and updating policy wordings and technical documentation
- Assessing underwriting criteria trends and emerging risks
- Partnering with the Technical Referral Unit Claims Operations and Trading teams
- Reviewing question sets PCW mappings product cover and limits
- Enhancing underwriting controls including developing decline strategies
- Working closely with Counter Fraud teams to strengthen quotestage fraud controls
What Youll Need
Were looking for someone with strong technical capability analytical thinking and a collaborative mindset.
Youll bring:
- Experience within UK personal lines insurance ideally Motor
- Proven technical underwriting expertise
- Strong analytical skills to balance customer and commercial outcomes
- Understanding of relevant insurance regulations and market trends
- A Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualification at any level essential
- Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to innovate and work at pace across multiple initiatives
