Job Summary/Description:
Gray Media (WOIO CBS 19 WUAB Clevelands 43 WTCL Telemundo Cleveland and Gray Digital Media) in Cleveland has a rare opening for an energetic positive-minded Sales Intern.
As a paid Intern you will have an immersive experience where you serve as a valued team member learning the fundamentals of sales and marketing. You will also get a behind-the-scenes look at how a dominant local media organization operates.
This person will be responsible for the development of cutting-edge commercial and promotional spots for WOIO WUAB and WTCL from concept to completion. Creative scripting shooting and non-linear editing experience is a must. This person will be expected to be a team player and take part in all aspects of commercial production. Must work closely with sales to conceptualize write shoot and edit commercials and work with the marketing team to assist in the production of station promos. Fluency in Spanish is a huge plus.

- Own the role: Step into the shoes of a producer MMJ meteorologist or media sales executive and handle real-world assignments (yes the kind that may go on air and online).
- Drive digital engagement: Create content that lives beyond the TV screen think social media streaming apps and web stories because were digital-first always.
- Collaborate with pros: Work side-by-side with seasoned veterans who are the best in the business gaining insights you wont find in any textbook.
- Commit to the craft: Dedicate 25 hours per week for 10 weeks to mastering your specialty and building a professional-grade portfolio.

Qualifications:
âªï Be currently enrolled in a college/university (preferred Junior/Senior)
âªï Must be earning a degree in Journalism/Communications Sales Marketing or related fields with a desire to get hands-on experience in the local media industry
âªï Strong work ethic and organizational skills
Addl Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have 2 3 years of hands-on experience in marketing and/or commercial production.
- Candidate must have experience with the Adobe Creative Suite and will have very strong camera and editing skills. Knowledge of DSLR equipment is a plus.
- The ability to interact professionally and effectively with all internal WOIO employees and external organizations is a must.
- Some weekends may be required.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- A college degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish is a huge plus
