The Golf Course at Hanbury Manor was designed by and built under the supervision of Jack Nicklaus II and Golden Bear Design Associates a leading US golf course design group.

The golf course has held numerous professional golf tournaments since opening. Our sports field has welcomed many international sports teams to practice before major events and our grounds have captured some of our guests most special days as an amazing back drop to any special occasion held at Hanbury Manor.

Job Summary

An exciting career opportunity has arisen to join the Estates team at Marriott Hanbury Manor. We are currently looking for a Casual Greenkeeper Gardener or someone looking for a change in career and has a love for the outdoors to join our estates team.

Working as part of a team the candidate will help in all areas of the estates maintenance and will get to learn many new skills that will be transferable to future roles.

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following attributes and qualifications:

• Full UK driving licence.
• Be self-motivated a team player with a positive can do and practical attitude.
• Ideally you will have some previous experience in greenkeeping or horticulture but it is not essential the position is also open to people looking for their first job in the industry with the aim of moving forward with their career development for the future.
• NVQ in sports turf or a land-based subject would be advantage but not essential although a willingness to learn is a must.
• A flexible approach to work is essential as you will be working on a rota system which will include some weekends.
• Must have the ability to produce a high standard of work as part of a team or alone.
• A desire to further your skills training and experiences in the industry of estates management.

Applicants will be working under the guidance of the Head Greenkeeper and closely with the existing team to continue to present the golf course and estate to the highest possible standard.
