POSITION OVERVIEW

The Associate Growth & Transition Capital provides analytical statistical and account administration support to the deal team by extracting a variety of financial data and preparing a wide range of documents related to operational and financial activities in the technology industry.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Contribute to the development of BDCs Growth & Transition Capital (G&TC) department by performing detailed financial analyses and modeling on historical and projected financial results

  • Conduct market in the technology field and industry research benchmark analyses compile data and perform various market value analyses and financial forecasts

  • Perform strengths weaknesses opportunities and threats (SWOT) analyses for clients specific situations and industry sectors in order to assess their inherent or potential risks

  • Receive investigate and evaluate proposals to determine their viability undertake due diligence and if applicable develop G&TC proposals in accordance with BDCs standards and procedures

  • Provide close and ongoing monitoring and sound administration of G&TC accounts

  • Ensure that all client needs are met by identifying opportunities for the BDC Financing and Consulting groups to serve customer needs and by maintaining a close knowledge of the capacity and expertise of the network

  • Contribute to the development of BDCs G&TC portfolio by managing transactions as well as customer contacts/negotiations for G&TC activities

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Accounting Economics Finance or equivalent

  • Minimum of three years of experience in the financial services industry specifically in the technology industry would be an asset

  • Professional designation (CPA-CA CPA-CMA CPA-CGA CFA or other designation) is an asset

  • Knowledge of mezzanine financing and the private equity market is an asset

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of requirements for financial reporting and general business operations with the SaaS model

  • Keen interest for the technology sector

  • Strong writing skills and ability to defend summarize and illustrate analyses in a presentation format with sensitivity to the audience

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and grasp new concepts quickly

  • Sound judgment in dealing with approaches to financing processing applications and maintaining relationships with customers.

  • Strong team spirit

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Bilingualism (English & French)
