Short Description
The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.
- Follows established policies and procedures.
- Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors.
- Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff management and physicians.
- Applies Cooper core values.
- Other duties as required.
Overview
Kelemen North and South 9 is a two-sided seventy-six bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. Our staff care for a variety of patient populations including cardiac trauma gastrointestinal and psych. Also to support our staff are Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs) which help with patient care through put and assignments. Nurses who are staffed on Kelemen 9 are required to have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications which will allow competent and safe care for our complex patient populations.
Education Requirements
Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.
License/Certification Requirements
- Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).
- Current NJ-BLSCertification(Basic Life Support).
- Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS NALS PALS)
Special Requirements
Shift Requirements:
- 7AM-7PM
- 36 hrs. per week
- rotating weekends and holidays
