Hours: 34.5 Hours/Week

Job Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for an 8-week contract assignment in New York NY. The ideal candidate will operate and prepare MRI equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures ensuring high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MRI imaging procedures following established protocols
Position patients and coils for optimal imaging results
Educate patients on procedures and provide clear instructions
Review patient safety questionnaires prior to scans
Ensure images are properly labeled and transmitted to PACS
Maintain accurate documentation in the Radiology Information System
Evaluate images for diagnostic quality
Maintain cleanliness of MRI rooms and equipment
Monitor and restock necessary supplies
Assist physicians during procedures as needed
Adhere to MRI safety standards and infection control protocols
Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions
Perform basic clerical duties when required

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy physiology and MRI physics
Excellent technical and imaging skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred:

Minimum 2 years of MRI experience

Qualifications:

Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved Radiologic Technology program
New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology
ARRT (MRI) Certification
BCLS Certification
