Elementary Content Specialist - (ELA/Math with knowledge of Science/Social Studies) -
Job Goals:
- Work with early childhood/elementary schools to observe interact and review their implementation of HQIM ELA and Math programs.
- Lead the development of Reading/Language Arts/ Mathematics programs by leading model lessons working with teacher teams for curriculum guides alignment and assessments to ensure the effective implementation of the Massachusetts Frameworks Performance Standards.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Work cooperatively with administrative staff and instructional staff in the development and implementation of the District-Wide programs
- Provide professional development training for personnel
- Keep abreast of new developments in Reading/Language Arts/Social Science curriculum
- Model lessons as appropriate
- Lead school-based data meetings with teachers on planning classroom and student data and next steps
- Coordinate MTSS Tiered Intervention schedule and programs
- Knowledge of technology and computer applications as related to instructional integration in classrooms and for teachers and administrator professional development
- Coordinate curriculum to ensure all content areas are infused with literacy strategies complex text and instructional technology that will contribute to increased student achievement in reading
- Support the development of common assessments review data and develop action plans where needed
- Support the vision and mission of the District
- Assist in the implementation of the districts strategic goals
Required Qualifications:
- At least 5 years experience at elementary level in all content areas
- Master Degree in the area of Elementary Education/ Curriculum
- Demonstrated success facilitating and providing professional development to support adult learners.
- Elementary teacher Certification (1-6) with SEI Endorsement
Reports to: Administrators of Teaching and Learning
Salary: Teacher on Special Assignment salary 10 percent of base (204 days) - 2 weeks before the school year starts and 5 days after the school year ends with 5 days flexible
