About the Role

RMIT is seeking an enthusiastic and industryengaged Lecturer in Nuclear Medicine to join our Medical Radiation Science team. This role is ideal for an academic or experienced clinician who is passionate about education maintaining strong industry connections and preparing the next generation of Nuclear Medicine professionals.

In this parttime maternity leave cover role you will play a key part in delivering highquality teaching supporting course leadership and contributing to research and industry engagement across the program.

As a Lecturer in Nuclear Medicine you will:

  • Deliver engaging undergraduate teaching including online and in-person learning.

  • Develop highquality curriculum and learning resources.

  • Contribute to course coordination and student support.

  • Maintain active engagement with the Nuclear Medicine profession and strengthen industry relationships.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary academic team and contribute to growing research activity within the School.

About You

You will be an educator and practitioner who brings insight energy and a collaborative mindset.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver programs at undergraduate level including online delivery and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials.

  • Ability to undertake course coordination role.

  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning.

  • Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas evidenced by publications development of new research initiatives competitive research funding and industry links.

  • Ability to build effective networks with colleagues and generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills together with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

Mandatory:

  • PhD in a related field or approved AQF equivalency with relevant industry experience (a minimum of seven years of full-time practice or equivalent for appointment at level B).

  • Registration or eligibility to register with AHPRA

  • Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children Check
