Job Description

The Vascular Access Resource Nurse is a registered nurse specializing in the placement and management of vascular access devices. Responsibilities include insertion of IV access lines such as PICC lines midlines AccuCath ultrasound-guided peripheral IVs and care and access of implanted ports. This role serves as a clinical resource for bedside nurses and staff providing expert guidance education and support in the care and maintenance of vascular access devices and peripheral IV placement.

Placement of lines:

PICC Midline Accucath Peripheral IV Ultrasound guided IV

Other responsibilities:

Port Access Venipuncture assistance Trouble Shooting IR collaboration

Qualifications:

AHA BLS card required

PA RN License required

Graduate of an accredited nursing school (ADN or BSN required)

Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience

Previous IV Therapy experience strongly preferred
