Location: Ithaca NY 14850
Duration: 13 Weeks
Compensation: $2448/week (Negotiable based on experience)
Shift & Schedule: Flexible Shifts (Days Nights Weekends) 8 hours/day 5 days/week (40 hours/week)
Job Description
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care in an outpatient addiction recovery setting. The RN will monitor patients undergoing treatment administer medications manage withdrawal symptoms and ensure compliance with healthcare and regulatory standards. This role requires strong clinical judgment attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform physical and mental health assessments including vital signs and withdrawal evaluations (COWS)
Administer and monitor medications and treatment plans
Observe and report behavioral and health changes
Triage urgent medical issues and coordinate with healthcare providers (MD PA NP)
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Ensure proper control and handling of medications
Collaborate with nursing staff counselors and leadership teams
Maintain compliance with OASAS and Medicaid regulations
Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Maintain a safe respectful and patient-focused environment
Requirements
Minimum Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelors preferred)
Active RN License (State-specific)
BLS Certification required
Ability to work rotating/flexible shifts in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in behavioral health or addiction recovery settings
Strong assessment and patient monitoring skills
Experience handling withdrawal cases and emergency situations
