Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg

Location: Brooklyn NY
Schedule: 3x12 shifts (Days/Nights) 34.5 hours/week
Contract: 13 weeks (No extension)

Compensation:

Travelers: $70/hr
Local Candidates: $58/hr

Position Overview:We are seeking experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurses to support increased patient census. This is a 13-week contract with no extension.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care plans
Provide direct bedside care to pre- and post-surgical patients
Administer and document medications as prescribed
Perform wound care IV therapy catheterization and dressing changes
Monitor vital signs and report any adverse reactions
Operate and adjust medical equipment as needed
Collaborate with healthcare teams on discharge planning
Educate patients and families on treatment and post-care instructions
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Follow established nursing standards and protocols

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting
Recent experience within the past 1 year required
Strong skills in patient assessment medication administration IV therapy and post-operative care
Experience with wound care infection control and telemetry monitoring

Preferred Skills:

EPIC EMR experience

Education:

Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution

Certifications & Licensure:

Active New York State RN License
AHA BLS certification
AHA ACLS (preferred/required for specific units)
