For our EMEA Engineering and Investment team we are looking for a Senior Project Manager - Process Engineering EMEA who will be responsible for:
- Managing CAPEX projects related to production line and plant construction or upgrades including comprehensive planning design and execution.
- Ensuring project completion in accordance with safety standards quality benchmarks budgets schedules and EMEA Operations strategy.
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders facilitating effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conducting risk assessments implementing mitigation strategies and coordinating procurement processes for project resources.
- Managing project budgets preparing status reports and conducting post-project evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentoring team members and staying abreast of industry trends to foster innovation in process engineering projects.
- Supporting and contribution to the implementation of the EMEA Operations strategy regarding engineering investments and acquisitions and support investment projects (RPA) in active collaboration with internal stakeholders (Corporate Engineering Finance Procurement Sika local companies).
- Driving continuous improvement processes operational efficiency and sustainability strategies across EMEA while ensuring compliance with safety environmental and regulatory requirements in all process engineering activities.
- Defining and ensuring production engineering standards and best practices across EMEA.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce costs minimize waste and increase efficiency and sustainability.
- Ensuring the smooth functioning of production lines develop new techniques design and plan equipment layout for new installations modify existing designs and coordinate process improvement projects.
- Leading and supporting engineering projects for individual equipment/lines up to new sites in all countries in the region (improvements optimization capacity expansions) and manage all aspects of project execution.
- Supporting projects in an international environment: providing local Sika organizations in the countries with expertise and guidance in local projects with project management and technical know-how (BDPs) developing organizing delivering and monitoring the entire project execution including all technical and the non-technical aspects of the project (kick-off meeting engineering manufacturing phase logistics change orders or claims commissioning and start-up to warranty period close-out reports).
- Understanding leading and interfacing with contractors to execute the projects in terms of safety quality budget and schedule.
- Working in a dynamic and fast-growing environment with a high degree of multi-functional collaboration.
- Interaction with internal/ external technical experts and peers to maintain a broad knowledge of the technology and regulatory issues that impact on the Construction Chemical business enabling technology options to be identified evaluated and compared.
Qualifications :
Your Expertise - Our Strength
- Bachelor or Master degree in engineering (chemical mechanical industrial or similar). Further education and/or qualifications in Project Management is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in Industrial/Chemical Processes is an advantage.
- Proven experience in complex projects as part of a matrix organization and working with multi-cultural remote teams.
- Proven project management experience in Industrial projects and/or Chemical related fields seeing projects through from conception to completion within stipulated timelines and budgets
- Tendering and contracting estimation project controlling and contract claims management and arbitration.
- Knowledge of design and engineering scope cost and schedule control tools
- On-site project management in Industrial projects.
- On-site safety requirements in Industrial projects.
- Familiar with European/International engineering standards and permitting processes.
- Fully proficiency in English with strong negotiation communication and social skills. Knowledge of additional European languages is an advantage.
- Results oriented with strong strategic and conceptual thinking: analytical skills business insight and visionary approach.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Demonstrable ability in diagnosing and resolving complex process-related issues that impact quality cost and efficiency.
- Ingenuity for using the broad concepts of chemical engineering and applying them to address specific production problems
- Flexible for global travels in the area (approx. 30% of the working time)
