Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) delivers an integrated Strategic Effects framework applying a multidomain and multi-region approach to ensure a comprehensive 360degree view of Alliance security. SHAPE supports SACEUR in fulfilling their responsibilities as directed by the North Atlantic Council enabling seamless transition from Baseline Activities and Current Operations (BACO) to the Maximum Level of Effort (MLE) when required.

SHAPE is looking for applicants to fill temporary positions that arise occasionally at Supreme Headquarters Allied Power Europe in Mons Belgium.

In view of the nature and of the urgency of temporary positions it is important for candidates to be available for temporary employment on short practice this implies being in possession of valid NATO security clearance at the time of application or having been in possession of such a clearance with the possibility to reactivate it therefore encourage applications for temporary positions if you are already or have previously been in possession of a valid NATO security clearance.

3. RECRUITMENT PROCESS

It is a condition of employment that before a temporary staff member can be appointed the Organization must have received a security clearance certificate (minimum NATO Secret) from the government of the country or countries of which they are national.

4. WHAT WE OFFER

- 38 hours per week schedule;

- 2.5 paid days of leave per month worked;

- Fulfilling working atmosphere in an international and military community;

- Salary: the remuneration of temporary personnel will be specified in their contracts. It is exempt from taxation in the Host Nation.

- Benefits package: temporary personnel are covered by a benefits package which consists of an additional sum of 12% of basic salary for pension purposes basicmedical and accident insurance provided under the NATO Group insurance contract (death andinvalidity). The total premium for the medical and accident coveragein 2023 will be at 2.57% of the temporary staff members salary (2.32% for the medical benefits and 0.25% for accident) payable 1/3 by the temporary personnel and2/3 by the Organisation.

- For staff eligible under NATO rules there is also a dependent child allowance and coverage for dependent children for medical benefits.

5. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

- NTAP allows adding attachments. A copy of the qualification/certificate covering the highest level of education required by the job description must be provided as an attachment.
