Job Summary

Heres What You Need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required prior to providing independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly.
  • Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment positive interpersonal skills and good verbal and written communication skills.

What You Will Do

Texas Health Patient Care Techs (PCT) Apprentices are responsible for learning while you earn to create a pathway towards a career in healthcare to provide an excellent patient care experience at each Texas Health site.

In addition to the required qualifications a successful PCT Apprentice will:

Complete a PCT apprenticeship program. Curriculum to include:

  • Basic patient care skills
  • Patient rights communication safety observation and reporting
  • Assisting patients in maintaining basic comfort and safety

Patient Care Tech (PCT) Apprentice Telemetry

Work location:Texas Health Rockwall 3150 Horizon Rd Rockwall TX 75032

Work hours:

  • Full-Time 36 hours per week.
  • Three 12-hour variable shifts per week 7:00am - 7:00pm and 7:00pm 7:00am with rotating weekends and holidays.
  • Must be available to attend the 4-week Apprentice Program initially Monday Friday 8:00am 5:00pmstarting Monday June 1st.
  • Upon successful completion of the program the Trainee will transition into a Patient Care Tech role.
