The Data Center Infrastructure Engineering (DCIE) team seeks a Senior Electrical Controls Engineer to design implement and sustain electrical control systems for Amazons global data center infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring reliability efficiency and scalability of mission-critical control systems that power our data center operations.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of electrical control systems for power distribution cooling and building automation
- Integrate control systems with infrastructure equipment and monitoring platforms
- Maintain and optimize existing control systems across the data center portfolio
- Develop technical specifications standards and best practices for electrical controls
- Troubleshoot complex control system issues and implement sustainable solutions
- Partner with Controls Design Engineering Data Center Delivery Field Engineering and Commissioning teams
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and field technicians
- Drive automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects

- 6 years of data center design construction operations or facility maintenance experience
- 6 years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers power generation or oil and gas facilities experience
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
- Experience researching new designs technologies and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities
- Professional Engineering or Architectural License
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration development and into deployment or mass production
- Experience reading interpreting and creating construction drawings specifications and submittal documents

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
