Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Route Driver in Spring TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location you will conduct routine patrols stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and assist guests and store teams with clear professional communication. This is a driving post so you will also complete mobile patrols and quick responses as needed. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to shoppers tenants and/or store associates by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales floors common areas loading areas parking lots and perimeter spaces; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor for suspicious behavior potential theft activity and/or policy violations; help to deter issues through high-visibility presence verbal engagement and prompt notification to site leadership and/or law enforcement when needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including medical calls disturbances alarms and/or disruptive individuals.
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs document observations and support investigations by preserving information and coordinating with management and/or responding officers.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Have at least 6 months of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Hold a Level III armed certification for Texas only.
- Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
