As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driver Patrol in Salt Lake City UT you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access points report observations and deliver strong customer service and communication with team members and site contacts. This is a driving post so a valid drivers license is required under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses loading docks trailer yards and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and shipping and receiving areas verify visitor and driver credentials as required and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or loitering.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including alarms disturbances and medical emergencies and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
• Complete security-related reports and logs document unusual activity and communicate status updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
