Electrical & Controls Engineer
Richmond IN (Onsite MF 24/7 Plant Environment)
Northwest Talent Solutions (NWTS) is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing organization for an Electrical & Controls Engineer who is ready to make a real impact in a high-performance production environment.
This is not a maintenance-only rolethis is an opportunity to own reliability drive automation and lead meaningful engineering improvements.
What Youll Be Doing:
-
Improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime through root cause analysis
-
Lead and support electrical/control system projects from concept through execution
-
Optimize PLC HMI DCS and SCADA systems to improve plant performance
-
Work hands-on with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs
-
Collaborate with operations maintenance and engineering teams to solve complex problems
-
Support plant safety initiatives including NFPA 70E compliance
-
Drive continuous improvement and capital projects that enhance efficiency and uptime
What You Bring:
-
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
-
13 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
-
Strong hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI systems
-
Exposure to:
-
Industrial networking (Ethernet/IP DeviceNet ControlNet)
-
DCS/SCADA systems (Ignition Wonderware or similar)
-
-
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset
-
Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment
Nice to Have:
-
Experience with process control systems (water compressed air utilities)
-
Familiarity with Honeywell (C300/C200) systems
-
Continuous improvement or CI project experience

Salary: $85000 $105000
