As a Security Guard - Entry Control Driver in Sulphur LA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and/or petrochemical location where you will help manage entry and exit verify credentials screen visitors and document activity with clear communication and customer service. You will also conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license in the job state. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related access control procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an industrial chemical processing location.
• Control entry and exit at designated gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification authorizations and appointments; issue and track visitor credentials and maintain required logs.
• Screen and/or inspect vehicles deliveries and packages as permitted by post orders documenting irregularities and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications assisting with area control and coordinating with on-site personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access control areas nearby buildings and perimeter points as assigned monitoring for conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Applicants must have 1 years law enforcement experience OR 2 years security supervisor/manager experience OR 3 years security experience.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
