DescriptionThe Poker Dealer is responsible for all aspects of dealing poker games and assists in tracking play and game observation.
Responsibilities- Demonstrates an effective working knowledge of dealing policies and gaming procedures.
- Required to communicate all pertinent information tosupervisors.
- Effectively handles casino gaming checks.
- Creates an opportunity for fun and excitement by being friendly supportive and enthusiastic towards guests.
- Adheres to Caesars appearancestandards.
- Demonstrates positive acceptance of demanding scheduling needs. Wipes down Poker tables and picks up dirty glasses and ashtrays from emptyseats.
- Performs other related duties as assigned. Always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do thesame.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory departmental and company policies.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be able to successfully complete a basic math test and pass a Caesars audition displaying adequate Pokerskills.
- Excellent employee and customer service skills are essential. Must be able to get along with co- workers and work as ateam.
- Must present a well-groomedappearance.
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino including in and around assigned Pit area during entire shift.
- Must be able to bend reach kneel twist and grip items asnecessary.
- Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guests demands in a fast paceenvironment.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke high noise levels bright lights anddust.
- Must be able to read verify and sign appropriate documents relating to the game in a smallarea.
- Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when determining winners and losers and collecting and paying outbets.
- Must possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips cards andmoney.
- Must accurately balance chip bank at the beginning and end of eachshift.
- Excellent vision (including peripheral) is needed to protect thegames.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressfulsituations.
- Must be able to read write speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and auralcues.
