Meter Technician

In this hands on field position you would be responsible for performing a wide variety of duties related to the installation maintenance repair calibration replacement testing and reading of meters as well as backflow testing. The work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm.

Primary duties include interfacing with customers inside their homes and businesses regarding meter related issues; removal and replacement of defective outside reading devices; testing and calibration of meters: installation and replacement of cellar fittings: testing of backflow. You will be entering field and timesheet data into computer remotely.

Qualifications:

Entry-Level

  • High school diploma.
  • Valid state drivers license in good standing.
  • First Aid Training within 12 months of hire.
  • OSHA 10 Hour Card within 12 months of hire.

Meter Technician I - Additional Requirements

  • One year of successful technician service and deemed as fully qualified by means of training experience and knowledge

MeterTechnician II - Additional Requirements

  • Backflow license
  • NHDES Distribution Operator Certification I
  • Two years of successful technician service and deemed as fully qualified by means of training experience and knowledge
