Job Summary
We are currently requiring a candidate to fill a soon to be vacant role as a Senior Infrastructure Specialist.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
CCNP certified with an active certification.
Working knowledge of Cisco ACI.
Basic familiarity with Python and general software engineering principles.
Ability to communicate in clear professional English.
Experience collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Preferably has worked with large clients ideally within the banking sector.

- Designed and deployed Cisco ACI solutions to enhance data center performance and flexibility.
- Design and Implementation: Architect design and deploy Cisco ACI solutions to meet the network infrastructure needs of the Lloyds Banking Group
- Contribute to the development and performance of a migration plan from traditional Lloyds Bank data Centre network designs to Cisco ACI.
- Configuration Management: Configure ACI fabric including APIC (Application Policy Infrastructure Controller) configuration tenant creation application network profiles (ANP) endpoint groups (EPG) and contracts.
- Network Integration: Integrate ACI with existing network infrastructure including Layer 2/3 devices virtualization platforms (VMware Hyper-V) and other network services.
- Integrate service appliances to Cisco ACI deployments to include Application Delivery Controllers and Firewalls.
- Lead datacenter refresh requiring replacement of all Nexus 7k/5k architecture with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)
- Configuring Cisco switches including Nexus9K Nexus7K Nexus5K and Nexus2K.
- Conducted regular network assessments and provided recommendations for improvement.
- Participated in the design and implementation of VLANs and VxLANs to enhance network segmentation and security.
- Policy Enforcement: Develop and enforce network policies using ACIs policy-driven approach ensuring security compliance and performance.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor the health and performance of the ACI environment and troubleshoot issues using tools like APIC SNMP Syslog and third-party monitoring solutions.
- Automation and Scripting: Automate routine tasks using Python Ansible or other automation tools compatible with ACI to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all ACI-related configurations procedures and policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams including security server and application teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of the ACI environment.
- Upgrades and Patching: Plan and execute upgrades patches and maintenance for the ACI infrastructure
