Role Description:
Risk & Compliance Tech delivers cutting-edge technology to protect the Bank and its customers from Financial Crime and to meet our various regulatory commitments.
Our applications/services cover Anti-Money Laundering Sanctions & PEP Screening Anti-Bribery and Corruption Regulatory and Tax Reporting and Risk Management.

The role holder will cover change and transformation delivery including responsibility for strategy budget people vendor service management contracts and risks. The role holder will deliver the Cross Portfolio Technology initiatives and act as a strong partner to Value Streams across HSBC delivering evolutionary and transformation change.
  • This is a global role supporting a broad range of solutions including GCIO priorities Global transformation programmes regional and Global audit and regulatory requirements
  • Cross Portfolio Technology Manager is a senior role and expected to work collaboratively with Senior Leadership other members of Cross Portfolio Technology team CIO areas within other parts of Enterprise Technology the core central teams across the Bank

Responsibilities:
  • Manage change & transformation across multiple agile / value stream teams to deliver across Risk and Compliance
  • Establish a framework for resolving and impact assessing change that spans Risk & Compliance (e.g. acquisitions divestments large regulatory programmes)
  • Work with architecture to develop high level designs and plans to accommodate R&C spanning changes.
  • Communicate progress to senior stakeholders both IT and business
  • Support Cross Portfolio Technology Lead achieve Global/Regional initiatives and book of work
  • Responsible for managing technology programme/project budgets and appropriate RTB for Cross Portfolio Technology initiatives.
  • Ensure Technology and operational risks are appropriately controlled in line with Group and business objectives.
  • Drive team engagement and regional initiatives for the function.
  • Provide mentoring coaching and guidance for team members (where applicable) and influence teams for positive outcomes.
  • Identify roadblocks that could impact GCIO priorities within the CIO area. Work with the relevant technology teams to pilot and feedback for appropriate delivery shaping and prioritisation communicating any operational challenges to implementation.

Role Qualifications and Skills:
  • An experienced technology Project Manager with a track record of on time delivery and innovation.
  • Knowledge / experience of working with a variety of technology solutions from Saas/Cloud to on-prem would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Technology Controls and Enterprise Risk Management Framework
  • Ability to manage and innovate in a global setting across a matrixed estate.
  • Vendor management expertise including in an outsourced model.
  • Data architecture integration and analytics knowledge would be beneficial.
  • Good understanding of Agile adoption and DevOps.
  • Strong financial acumen budgeting and forecasting and ability to operate strategically on commercial matters.
  • Track record of forming strong partnerships with external vendors and assurance of their deliverables.
  • Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders with gravitas. Strong communications skills influencing and negotiation.
  • Excellent written skills with ability to express complex topics and problems effectively.
  • Strong risk and issue management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple threads of work under pressure.
  • Experience of working with complex stakeholders in a global setting.
  • Ability to develop new and adapt existing processes for increased quality and efficiency whilst encouraging others to seek new ideas/solutions to day-to-day problems.
