Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: 1700 Cerrillos Road Santa Fe NM 87505
Duration: 1-year base contract with up to four (4) option years
Shift Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM OR 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
How many shifts needed per month: 20 22 shifts/month (full-time 2080 hours/year)
Credentialing / Onboarding Time: 6 8 weeks (includes fingerprinting background check)
License: Any state Pharmacy Technician certification (nationally accepted)
Certifications:
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (required)
- BLS (required)
Experience needed: Minimum 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience
Special Skills needed:
- Prescription processing & filling
- Inventory management (medications & vaccines)
- Experience with pharmacy systems (ScriptPro / Pyxis preferred)
- Patient interaction & customer service
- Ability to support vaccine clinics (immunization cert preferred)
- Cultural sensitivity (Native/tribal patient population)
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in processing and filling prescriptions
- Handle patient interaction: greeting phone calls refill requests
- Manage medication inventory ordering and expiration tracking
- Support curbside prescription delivery
- Assist in COVID/vaccine clinics (admin vaccination if certified)
- Prepare inventory reports and maintain pharmacy supplies
- Use pharmacy automation systems (ScriptPro / Pyxis)
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and IHS policies
- Provide administrative and operational pharmacy support
