Job Summary
Senior Network Analyst
Location : Downtown Houston TX (Onsite)
About the job
Our client is located in Downtown Houston and looking to add a Senior Network Analyst to their team on a 9 month contract basis. The Senior Network Analyst will be responsible for the design and operation of the substation LAN WAN network.
Responsibilities:
Planning designing and installing routers switches or other network components
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the following: spanning tree routing protocols (RIP OSPF EIGRP BGP) VLAN technologies WAN protocols.
Conduct network troubleshooting using network protocol analysis tools such as Wireshark.
Possess good working knowledge and experience in planning design installation and support of LAN (Ethernet Gig-Ethernet).
Possess good working knowledge and experience in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) protocols such as: CONITEL DNP Modbus and 68150.
Possess good working knowledge of cybersecurity.
Possess good NERC-CIP knowledge and SME (Subject Matter Expert) during audits.
Maintain network drawings.
Provide testing for new network hardware and software solutions.
Accountable for adhering to Change Management process for network related incidents.
Serve as member of technical team on selected large-scale substation networking projects.
Provides support testing troubleshooting for all business applications.
Utilize intelligent network management tools to isolate problems or improve network performance
MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
6 years experience that includes network design operational support hands-on implementation and configuration of network devices such as: routers and switches.
6 years experience in providing design and support services for large-scale multi-site network environments.
Desired Cisco Certifications: CCNA CCENT
6 years of work experience with Network Design
