Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Alteryx Administrator to lead the migration and upgrade of Alteryx Server environments to a new data center. The role involves planning building migrating and upgrading both Non-Production and Production environments while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Devise and execute a comprehensive migration and upgrade strategy for Alteryx Server environments.

Plan and build new Alteryx servers in the target data center potentially retaining legacy server names to minimize impact on existing workflows.

Manage environments with different versions across Non-Prod and Prod ensuring compatibility and smooth upgrade execution.

Set up and configure:

1 Non-Production Server

1 Production Server

Document current and target architecture migration/upgrade approach risks and timelines.

Execute migration of the Non-Production environment including validation and testing.

Provide post-migration support troubleshooting and required adjustments for Non-Prod.

Perform Production server migration along with version upgrade ensuring minimal downtime and risk mitigation.

Validate workflows schedules and integrations post-upgrade.

Monitor system performance and ensure stability after migration and upgrade.

Collaborate with infrastructure database and security teams for seamless deployment.

Implement backup recovery and disaster recovery strategies.

Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong experience in Alteryx/Tableau Server Administration (installation configuration migration and upgrades).

Hands-on experience with Alteryx/Tableau Server architecture including Controller Worker and Gallery components.

Proven experience in server migration and version upgrade projects.

Expertise in workflow management scheduling and performance optimization.

Experience with backup/restore processes and system monitoring.

Knowledge of user management security and access controls in Alteryx.

Familiarity with Windows Server environments.

Understanding of networking concepts (DNS load balancing SSL certificates).

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).

Familiarity with databases such as SQL Server (for Alteryx persistence layer).

Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell Python).

Alteryx Certification (Designer Advanced / Server Certification).
