Position Summary:
A Project Manager is a professional responsible for planning executing and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager is accountable for the overall success of the project and is the main point of contact for all stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Receive new projects and perform contract review
Create work orders through the LIMS software system and distribute test specimens to the labs and machine shop.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and lab personnel from receipt of samples to completion of testing and reporting.
Facilitating team meetings and ensuring team members are on track to meet project goals.
Communicating project status and issues to stakeholders and team members.
Managing project progress and making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
Developing project plans including goals tasks budget and resource allocation including vendor management
Managing project risks and implementing risk management strategies.
Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path.
Ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.
Managing project closeout and post-project evaluation.
QualificationsBachelors degree in Project Management Business Administration or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in project management or related role
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate work and navigate challenges
Customer-service oriented with the ability to effectively engage with customer contacts
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Experience managing a budget and handling resource allocation
Experience with project management software and tools
PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
