Duxbury High School is seeking an advisor for the following co-curricular position:

Spring Festival of Plays Director

Duxbury High School Drama is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Spring Festival of Plays Director for the Spring of 2026. Responsibilities include working alongside a student director to select cast and produce a one-act play planning organizing and running 2-3 rehearsals a week attending a pre-production meeting during one of the Thespian Troupes weekly Work Nights and attending both tech week rehearsals and performances.

Requirements

Experience directing a theatre production is preferred. However any prior theatre experience is beneficial.
Experience working with student actors directors and designers.
Ability to effectively plan and run rehearsals.
Willingness and ability to provide guidance and support to student directors.
A flexible after-school schedule. (Rehearsal schedules are built around both directors and students schedules to ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate.)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are preferred.
