Role Purpose:

You will join the team in the National Underwriting Centre (NUC) in delivering a high-quality service to our underwriters and brokers whilst practicing and developing technical capability and broader business skills in the Insurance Industry.

This is a key role created to support the Life Science and Technology teams in line with Chubbs ambitious growth plans across the UKI and Commercial Insurance Practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the underwriting and processing of renewable business in line with our underwriting appetite authority limits and business plan
  • Manage mid-term adjustments and general queries from brokers
  • Support the NUC operational processes by monitoring new business written and ensuring files are of an acceptable standard prior to NUC renewal
  • Prepare and update Multinational Request Forms to allow quotations from our Global Services team
  • Support in the booking/debiting of policy premiums
  • Update systems with key information to allow us to understand exposures and capacity
  • Support the Underwriters through liaison with and participation at meetings with brokers clients and internal stakeholders
  • To meet company standards in respect of policy documentation timeframe for quoting new and renewal business and compliance issues

  • Develop your knowledge and understanding of Industry Practices underwriting and Chubbs appetite

  • To work within the framework of the Chubb Code of Conduct Compliance policies Peer Review and within the framework of the protocols established by the Company
  • Adopt a phone first attitude when communicating with our Brokers


Qualifications

Experience Required:

  • Ideally 1 years experience in the insurance market is required however candidates with a Customer Service background/or Graduate will be considered
  • You will need to demonstrate a practical and common-sense approach to dealing with differing situations and an ability to tackle problems often against tight time frames
  • Minimum A level or equivalent qualification
  • Competent in Microsoft Office
  • Expected to undertake on the job training. This may involve working in other Chubb offices

This is a hybrid role which requires a minimum of 3 days in the office weekly and flexibility where training/meetings are required.
