Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate skilled and dedicated Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our growing private obstetrics and gynecology practice. The CNM will provide full-scope midwifery care including prenatal intrapartum postpartum and gynecological services working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and high-quality care for women across the lifespan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive prenatal visits and provide education and counseling to expectant mothers and families.
• Provide labor and delivery care including attendance at vaginal births and support for natural and low-intervention birth experiences.
• Manage postpartum care including lactation support and follow-up assessments.
• Perform routine gynecologic exams family planning counseling contraceptive management and menopause care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests lab work and ultrasounds within scope of practice.
• Maintain thorough documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Participate in rotating call coverage including nights and weekends.
• Provide patient-centered care in alignment with practice philosophy and standards.
• Collaborate with OB-GYN physicians nurses and office staff for seamless patient care.

Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Nurse-Midwifery from an accredited program.
• Current and unrestricted RN license.
• National certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
• Current BLS and NRP certification (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum of 12 years of midwifery experience preferred; new graduates considered based on fit.
• Strong clinical judgment communication and interpersonal skills.

Typical Physical Demands: Requires full range of body motion manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Involves standing and walking. Requires normal speech and visual acuity and hearing. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires working extended hours in hospital setting. Requires covering call day night and weekend hours. Requires call coverage during holidays.

Typical Working Conditions:Frequent exposures to hazards found in clinic environments and hospital settings involving direct patient care.
