Do you want to make a difference in the Town of Bonnyville The Town of Bonnyville isseeking motivated individuals who enjoy working outdoors thrive in a team environment and arent afraid to get their hands dirty to keep our infrastructure in top shape. Under the direction of the Public Works Supervisors the incumbent is responsible for manual labour work in any aspect required for Public Works operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Applicants must be willing to work alone most of the time.
  • Performs manual labour duties related to transportation and utilities including repairs and maintenance of roadways sidewalks street signs and catch basins.
  • Assists with the maintenance of water and sewer lines hydrants and valves.
  • Conducts solid waste collection and general Public Works operations.
  • Performs minor maintenance on equipment such as fueling greasing and washing.
  • Assists in Town programs and special events including Canada Day Tourism and residential round-ups.
  • Works as a team member with the Public Works crew and adheres to all safety procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • This role may require minor physical labour such as: lifting weights exceeding 10 kg and up to an approximate maximum of 20 kg walking on uneven surfaces stooping kneeling and crouching climbing stairs and ladders.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Drivers License with an acceptable abstract.
  • Candidates must successfully pass a Drug & Alcohol (D&A) test as a condition of employment.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform manual labor tasks associated with road maintenance when required.

The Town of Bonnyville employment policy requires successful applicants to complete apre-employment alcohol and Drug Testing.
