As a Product Designer youll play a pivotal role in leading the end-to-end design and delivery of innovative mobile experiences. Youll transform complex customer and business challenges into clear actionable solutions that delight our customers and drive real business value. This is a hands-on opportunity where youll be involved in every stagefrom discovery and research through planning and execution to delivery and ongoing iteration. Working closely with our Product and Engineering teams youll define problems explore creative solutions and help bring outstanding outcomes to life. Were looking for a strong collaborator and influencer who thrives in a squad environment and can engage effectively with stakeholders. Youll facilitate workshops champion our design system and ensure every solution meets Qantas brand accessibility and quality standards. Leveraging AI-enabled tools you will drive efficiency and innovation in design activities including insight synthesis exploration prototyping and seamless handover.

Were keen to meet designers who are curious and hands-on with AI in their workflow. If youve played around with the latest AI-powered design tools or have fresh ideas for using AI to spark creativity speed up prototyping or make delivery smoother youll fit right in. Show us how youve used AI to improve your creative process or enhance user outcomeswere excited to see your practical approach and innovative thinking.

Youll have:

• 5 years of experience in Service Design UX UI CX and/or a similar role.
• Tertiary qualification in Design Human-Centered Design (HCD) or a relevant field. 
• Understanding of design for native apps conversational interfaces and other digital platforms.
• Strategic thinking to deliver innovative outcomes aligned with brief and brand.
• Ability to focus on objectives and deliverables at both technical and creative levels
  always user-centric.
• Experience developing and promoting a product vision collaboratively.
• Some experience in concept development wireframing persona creation user
  stories and user testing.
• Some experience working with and creating user interface design patterns.
• Experience of modern frameworks and rituals: Lean Design Thinking Scrum
  Kanban.
• Knowledge of usability and accessibility standards including WCAG 2.0 AA.
• Experience using modern industry tools such as Miro Figma Lovable ClaudeCode
  Cursor and Adobe Creative Suite; collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Practical experience using AI tools to streamline design handover to developers and
  generate code (e.g. Figmas AI plugins ClaudeCode Cursor Lovable).
• Demonstrated logical reasoning and sound decision-making including numerical
  analysis.
• Ability to identify and address flawed logic and resolve errors.
• Ability to solve high-impact design challenges in large complex organisations.
• Strong facilitation skills with a track record of successful outcomes.
• Ability to communicate design concepts to stakeholders adapting to the audience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current digital design standards and industry trends.
