- Design analyze implement and optimize end-to-end satellite communication digital payload systems and related subsystem architectures.
- Support or lead telecommunications systems engineering activities for satellite-based connectivity solutions.
- Contribute to the design of satellite payloads including RF bent-pipe and digital onboard processing payloads (transparent or regenerative).
- Develop system requirements and subsystem specifications for RF and digital payload components such as digital channel processors phased array antennas multi-spot beam systems and flexible payload architectures.
- Perform system requirement analysis trade studies and link budget calculations to evaluate payload performance and satellite throughput.
- Establish and supervise systems engineering standards methods and testing procedures for digital payload systems.
- Participate in design reviews integration activities and system validation.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Physics or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 to 8 years of experience in digital equipment signal processing and networking technologies (e.g. DTN MPLS routing protocols DVB
- Knowledge of RF systems satellite payload design and 5G NTN is considered an asset.
- Experience with simulation and modelling tools such as MATLAB Simulink UML or STK and familiarity with Linux environments.
- Understanding of Software Defined Radio (SDR) architectures and Agile software development methodologies.
- Strong analytical technical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication documentation and presentation skills.
- French language proficiency required; English is an asset.
