As a Release Coordinator you will be at the center of Medavies technology delivery coordinating and enabling the successful planning execution and review of IT releases. This role is responsible for ensuring releases are delivered in a controlled wellplanned and compliant manner with a strong focus on risk management stakeholder coordination and operational readiness.

Working closely with Technical Change Owners Change Managers and Release Managers you will champion adherence to Medavies Change and Release Management practices while supporting the smooth transition of services into production. As a key member of the IT Service Management team you will play a critical role in enabling stable reliable service delivery across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Release Coordination & Delivery

  • Coordinate and support all phases of the release lifecycle from planning and preparation through deployment and postimplementation review.

  • Develop and maintain detailed release deployment plans using input from multiple stakeholders and portfolio teams.

  • Confirm that release activities milestones and deliverables are completed in alignment with approved schedules and release dates.

  • Identify and manage dependencies priorities conflicts and risks associated with releases ensuring appropriate mitigation plans are in place.

Change & Risk Management Support

  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to assess the risk impact and benefits of changes and releases.

  • Ensure releases comply with established Change and Release Management practices governance requirements and audit expectations.

  • Support major technology initiatives including lifecycle refreshes application upgrades and modernization efforts from a release coordination perspective.

Operational Readiness & Execution

  • Facilitate coordination and communication during technical deployments including activities that occur outside of core business hours.

  • Provide coordination and support during highpriority service restoration activities related to major incidents or outages.

  • Ensure operational readiness criteria are met prior to release into production.

Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain accurate documentation related to release processes plans and procedures.

  • Identify opportunities to improve release coordination tooling and workflows contributing to continual service improvement initiatives.

Work Schedule & Availability

  • This role may require afterhours and weekend work to support scheduled releases deployments and critical service restoration activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or similar program preferred; equivalent experience to be considered.

  • Work Experience: 5 or more years of IT experience in service operations should have good understanding of technical infrastructure and application development.

  • Language Skills: English written and spoken. French would be considered an asset.

Security Clearance: In conjunction with our contract with the Federal Government you will be required to have Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B).This includes Fingerprinting Criminal Record Check Credit Check and you must have resided in Canada for at least 5 years and hold Permanent Resident or Citizenship Status.

Pay Range:

73465 - 82648 CAD

The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/ addition to Base Pay eligible Medavie employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs. Payments under these programs are discretionary and subject to both individual and organizational results.
