Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Location: Syracuse New York
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) PICU to provide high-quality critical care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced high-acuity environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in pediatric intensive care and experience working in trauma-level facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive critical care nursing to pediatric ICU patients
Perform advanced patient assessments and clinical interventions
Monitor and manage critically ill pediatric patients
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
Administer medications and treatments per established protocols
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Respond effectively in emergency and high-pressure situations
Provide family-centered care and education
Required Qualifications
Active New York State RN License/Registration
BLS Certification (required)
Minimum 3 years of recent PICU experience (within the last 2 years)
Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers
Strong critical thinking communication and clinical skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records
Prior experience in large or high-acuity hospital settings
