Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Unit in Salinas CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location in Central California you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and respond to alarms access control needs and emergency situations. You will document activity communicate clearly with staff and visitors and support a people-first culture built on teamwork integrity and innovative reliable service.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to all visitors and personnel at a government location by following site-specific policies access procedures and other security-related protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards suspicious behavior and policy violations.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating emergency response activities in accordance with post orders.
- Monitor and operate security-related systems and equipment such as cameras alarms radios and/or access control devices and report irregular conditions through the chain of command.
- Complete thorough documentation including daily activity logs incident reports and evidence handling as directed and coordinate with onsite personnel and/or public agency partners when required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
