As a Security Officer - Data Center Patrol in Bloomfield CT you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control respond to concerns and provide professional customer service and clear communication to staff and visitors. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses yards loading docks parking areas and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points for employees visitors and drivers including checking identification and/or credentials managing visitor logs and directing traffic flow for deliveries and pickups as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including reporting hazards suspicious activity and policy violations through required channels.
• Complete detailed written reports and documentation of daily activity patrol observations incidents and/or maintenance issues and communicate key updates to site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
