The salary range for this position is $85000 - $115000 which will be determined based on the candidates experience and qualifications.
Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineering Specialist (afternoon shift) is responsible for developing and implementing optimal cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards across a multi shift operation. This role involves recommending and implementing improvements to production processes methods and controls and coordinating manufacturing launches for new or revised products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and test manufacturing processes including production flow assembly methods and production equipment.
- Analyze and plan workforce utilization space requirements workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals training team members and evaluating results.
- Conduct research and development of new manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and production efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- College/University level education in Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering or 5 years of experience in related field.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes engineering principles and production equipment.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Lean/Six Sigma training is a plus
