Job Summary

Summary: The HR Manager will support our accounting professionals and staff by managing recruitment employee relations performance management compliance leave training and firm culture initiatives. The role requires a blend of strategic HR functions and administrative tasks. This role requires to commute between El Paso TX and Las Cruces NM offices.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages full-cycle recruitment for all positions including CPAs support staff and interns. Leads the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Management of HR-related questions grievances issues and conflict resolution; oversees employee disciplinary meetings terminations and investigations.
Supports a positive work environment and developing HR strategies aligned with business goals.
Manages annual performance review process including goal setting; identifies training needs and facilitates professional development opportunities (CPE leadership and compliance/mandatory training sessions).
Ensures compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations by reviewing HR policies and practices; maintains and updates the employee handbook; firm-wide communications regarding HR policy updates.
Manages leave policies (FMLA Personal PTO).
Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits and assists with annual benefit offerings review; manages open enrollment process; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Assists in succession planning retention and leadership development within the firm.
Analyzes HR metrics to provide data-driven insights to management team.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
Proficient with MS Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail oriented & ability to multi-task.

Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field required.
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred.
5 years of HR experience preferably in a professional services or CPA Firm environment.

Physical/Mental/Visual Demands and Work Environment:
This job is conducted in an office work environment sitting most of the time working on a computer.
Must be able to exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally.
Travel is required.

Work Schedule:
Typically Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.
5 10% travel is expected for this position
