Job Purpose
We are looking for a Personal Claims Consultant (HOC) to provide efficient and effective claims administration support within the ShortTerm Insurance environment. The successful candidate will support stakeholders by ensuring that all claims are processed accurately timeously and in line with Nedbanks standards policies and strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Administer and facilitate the claims process in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Claims Protocols.
- Reduce risk to Nedbank by monitoring identifying and reporting trends in claims.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their shortterm insurance needs.
- Ensure client satisfaction by processing claims accurately and within agreed timeframes.
- Initiate claims and manage them through to finalisation ensuring full compliance with insurance policy requirements.
- Adhere to selfimposed standards deadlines and all relevant Nedbank policies and procedures.
- Stay uptodate with industry legislation trends and changes through continuous learning and engagement with relevant content.
- Demonstrate commitment to the Nedbank vision values and culture in interactions with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Take ownership of personal development by identifying learning opportunities completing required training and maintaining relevant certifications.
- Share knowledge with team members to ensure accurate information flow and collective capability.
- Contribute to transformation objectives by participating in culturebuilding initiatives and surveys.
- Support Nedbanks corporate social responsibility initiatives aligned to strategic business goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes systems and policies and support implementation of enhancements.
Essential Qualification - NQF Level
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Certificate in Short Term Insurance (NQF 4)
- Higher Certificate: Short Term Insurance (NQF 5) Prefer
Minimum Experience Level
- 3 - 5 years experience in the Short-Term Insurance Industry (Personal Lines and/or Commercial Lines)
- Non-negotiable: HOC experience (Non-Motor Claims experience)
