Roles and responsibilities...
- Respond promptly to user inquiries and technical issues related to Linux systems.
- Escalate issues to higher-level support teams when necessary ensuring timely resolution.
- Developing your expertise in the vast suite of technologies we work with.
- Communicate technical information clearly to end-users ensuring a positive and supportive experience during support interactions.
- Engage in training sessions to expand knowledge of Linux systems and support procedures.
- Attending and contributing to daily Linux standups.
- Having fun alongside some of the best engineers in the industry!
Skills and experience required...
- Linux Fundamentals:
- Basic understanding of Linux operating systems including installation configuration and troubleshooting. Most noticeably:
- RedHat based distributions (CentOS Fedora RHEL)
- Debian based distributions (Ubuntu Debian)
- IT Support Concepts:
- Familiarity with fundamental concepts of IT support incident management and ticketing systems.
- Understanding of how DNS works
- Knowledge in the creation and maintenance of SSL certificates
- Networking Basics:
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols as it relates to Linux system administration.
- Security Awareness:
- Awareness of basic security measures and practices related to Linux systems
- Backups Technologies
- Experience with Linux System Administration
- RedHat based distributions (CentOS Fedora RHEL)
- Debian based distributions (Ubuntu Debian)
