Main purpose of the role:

Simmons Adaptive are seeking a Compliance Professional/Lawyer for a 6 month period commencing in April 2026. This is a part time role 3 days per week with one day required in the office. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic and entrepreneurial investment management firm.

You will provide hands-on support across a range of compliance activities with a particular focus on UK FCA requirements.

  • Review and approve marketing materials and investor communications including drafting disclaimers.
  • Update and maintain the FCA compliance manual and related policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit FCA regulatory filings and applications.
  • Support ad hoc compliance projects such as cleaning and migrating the restricted list to a new system.
  • Coordinate with the compliance team in London Abu Dhabi and the US to ensure consistent compliance standards.
  • Provide compliance support for distressed debt and special situations investment activities including both UK and US listed instruments.

Person specification:

  • Non-qualified compliance professionals are encouraged to apply legal background is advantageous but not essential.
  • You will have strong working knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance processes.
  • You will have experience reviewing marketing materials and investor communications.
  • You are proactive and able to take ownership of projects and move them forward.
  • You can work autonomously but can also work collaboratively in multiple jurisdictions.
  • You are a problem solver and offer a collaborative approach.
  • You are able to work quickly and effectively to tight deadlines. You have excellent organisation skills with the ability to effectively prioritise workloads.
  • You will be required to hold he relevant right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
